A couple of weeks ago I went to a mini -festival in the South of England to
hear Banana (Lowell Levinger from the Youngbloods) who was playing with
Barry Melton, the Fish from Country Joe and ...
I took along a few album sleeves to get autographed including his latest
recording "Get Together" which is a reprise of Youngbloods songs along with
a whole stack of guest musicians, including PS
I asked him how he knew PS, I knew there were indirect links through Bucks
County boys Michael Hurley & Jesse Colin Young
He said "Peter Stampfel bears the main responsability for my degenerate
youth. He prepared me for the draft board by keeping me awake for 3 weeks
on a cocktail of drugs. The draft board took one look at me ...."
